RMVA Festival (‘Rencontres’ for short) started in 2002 with the aim of
expanding the culture on offer in Luxemburg. It is connected by two principles: first, great importance is attached to vocal music, both choir and solo
music from the various eras; second, emphasis is placed on Early music and Baroque music. Performances will be held in the churches of seven communes
along the Alzette Valley: Colmar-Berg, Fischbach, Lintgen, Lorentzweiler, Mersch, Steinsel and Walferdange. It is the only musical festival in Luxembourg
which is subsidised one third by communes. We are delighted to inspire people from Luxembourg and beyond with Early music!
